Chapter 36 - Northwest Indiana

~ Creaky Knees and Rusty Keys ~

A very good turnout for a weekday afternoon with 21 people coming out to eat and gamble at the Blue Chip Casino this month. The Blue Chip has a Wednesday special for senior citizens with 2 people getting the buffet for the price of 1 person ($15, includes drink). It's a great bargain and leaves you with a little extra money to gamble with!

Speaking of gambling, I haven't heard any follow-up reports from anyone... and I always take that to mean, no news is good news! So I hope that everyone enjoyed themselves and no one had to refinance their homes! But if anyone won big, I don't know why you didn't call me?!?!

Not much interest in the show-and-tell this time. Carl, W9CJH, brought a booklet of electrical and PCB schematic diagrams that he created for a project for Phil Melman, W9PM, using OrCAD design software. Stan, W4SV, brought a 10-minute ID timer, a project he built while an electronics student at Purdue Calument. The timer was designed by Mike Fisher, WT9W.

It is an open show-and-tell again next month. I hope you will bring something to share!
