The Gang included 19 members and guests (listed below) for an all-you-can-eat breakfast at the Hilton Garden Inn in Chesterton.

The Stars of the Show were Bruce W9OTN (on right) being presented awards for his 50 Year Anniversary and 50 Years Continuously Licensed. Presenting the awards is long-time QCWA member (#6040) and long-time professor at Valpo Technical Institute (38 years), Gene W9CWG.

The Bugs for Breakfast Contest had a strong showing with many fine entries. The winner was Bruce W9OTN with a 1912 Model X Vibroplex, followed closely by Dan W9DWS with a 1918 Vibroplex. Very honorable mention for Tom W8FIB who brought a large collection of bugs and oscillators, including the McElroy 1938B shown in the picture with its original box. And very honorable mention also for George K9WWT who brought what was likely the oldest Morse device, a telegraph sounder that was guessed to be "turn-of-the-century" (but without certain dating). The sounder is seen in the lower right corner of the collection photo, and just left of it is the 1912 Model X, and just behind that is the 1918 bug. Others also brought entries... many thanks to all for sharing these great items with us!
