Chapter 36 - Northwest Indiana

~ Creaky Knees and Rusty Keys ~

Nineteen members and guest attended our September meeting. This was our first time at the BC Osaka Chinese buffet in Merrillville. The food was excellent, and everyone had a good time. But no one took any photos this month, sorry.

Gary WA6UOO brought a continuously adjustable attenuator that he has been working on for fox hunting. It is very nicely made with two potentiometers used to control the attenuation. Gary says it works well but he hasn't tested it out on a fox hunt yet.

Remember that next month, Oct. 23rd, is the special Old Time Radio Show brought to you by our member Andy, W9FXT. And everyone is encouraged to bring in some special show and tell items... stuff not normally good to bring to our restaurant meetings, like antique boat anchors, or special station accessories that you may have. Andy will get started by 5:30pm, so come a little early and get a seat. Be there by about 5pm if you are bringing some equipment for show and tell. Location is the Valparaiso Public Library at 103 Jefferson Street (Meeting Rooms A and B). Coffee and snacks will be provided.
